What it is
One number, from the record, not opinion
SIS runs from 0 to 100 and is calculated from timestamped system logs, not from self-report or a survey. Every alert carries a record of when a risk was seen, acknowledged, and resolved, which is what makes the number defensible to a third party.
What it reflects
Coverage, response, closure
At a high level the score reflects whether the system is genuinely covering the agreed high-risk areas, how quickly staff acknowledge what it surfaces, and whether each event is closed with a documented disposition. The exact methodology is proprietary.
Why it matters
A number leadership and insurers can trust
Because it comes from the operational record and not from opinion, the score holds up with county leadership, auditors, and insurers, and it is the basis for the Gold Seal and its tiers.
The Safety Intelligence Score turns safety operations into one defensible number. See how it drives the Gold Seal, or request an Audit.
