Every vendor demo looks good. What matters is whether the system holds up on your worst night with your real staffing. These are the questions a jailer should ask before signing, the ones that separate a safety layer from a screensaver.
Ask these plainly, and watch how quickly and clearly they answer:
Be wary of anyone who quotes a detection accuracy percentage, promises it prevents deaths, claims it will hold up in court, or says it makes you compliant. A serious vendor describes what the system does and the honest record it keeps, and lets your own policy and counsel speak to compliance.
Do not buy even coverage everywhere. Buy attention where risk lives first: intake, isolation, medical, segregation, high-risk housing. A good partner will start there, not sell you the whole building at once.
Walk your own facility before any vendor does. The Camera Coverage Self-Assessment shows where your risk and coverage do not match.
Camera Coverage Self-Assessment Jailer FAQVirtual Patrol Technologies is glad to answer every question above about its own system, plainly. See the method, or request a Safety Intelligence Audit.
